Restating, the Erie Canal was a stunning complement to the American nation as it greatly improved trade and boosted the economy in many areas. It has also been able to influence many prideful citizens to compose songs about this canal. It has truly been a turning point for the American nation. But we cannot forget how it had all started with the magnificent construction under the leadership of DeWitt Clinton.
